POETRY

I was recently gandering through my old documents on my laptop when I came across a folder of poems that I wrote a couple of years back... they once meant something to me but that's in the past - feel free to get your own meaning out of them, and ask questions if you like........
> Here's one of them.

I Find It Hard To Love You

I find it hard to love you
But I want it more than life gives me
I’m sitting here before your eyes
But I’m nowhere to be seen

You open up and seek a friend
I sprint unto your call
You shouldn't know I love you now
Like nothing else before

It’s like a game of tug-of-war
With hers a stronger rope
Perplexity wrapping round my neck
Despondency my home

Flesh white lines, were once dark red
A passionate disease
A melanoma once removed
Will never be deceased

A hunger boils inside my heart
A fear of portly legs
Or maybe just a lame excuse
To gain well-earned respect.
